Thank you Andrew. It can sometimes be all too easy to get sucked in by tradition, conventional wisdom, or peer pressure - but on this occasion my question was rather tongue in cheek, given the light-hearted nature of the thread. At least I think it’s light-hearted.
Anyway, we enjoyed the wine, even though they’ve dispensed with the fancy square bottle it used to have. Lacked a bit of acidity but quite full flavoured and long for an inexpensive wine.
