We are visiting Mâcon for a few days in mid-September. Any recommendations on wine producers to visit? Particularly interested in any Viré-Clessé (wine that first got me excited about whites) and Pouilly-Fuissé producers. But other suggestions very welcome.
Thevenet Quintaine - domaine de la bongran in Vire Clesse - nearly got there once but timings were not quite right- classy producer.
These producers in Macon were recommended by @JayKay in another thread about Burgundy:
Château de Beauregard, with a fab panorama over both Rochers (Vergisson and Solutré) …
(pic taken during my last visit there in March 2016)
… and fab wines too.
They do really serious Beaujolais as well. Delicious.
Weekend Drinking 17-19August
Thanks for great suggestions. I shall report back on our return.
