A wine tasting group meets once a month in Axminster. Each tasting is on a particular topic - a region, a style, a grape variety etc. We start with a 20 minute talk on the topic and then taste six to eight wines, poured for you where you sit, and some more information on that wine is explained. Members only can attend and have to reserve their place by replying to an invitation. Cancellation within 24 hours has to be paid for. Other than that it is fairly informal and a chance to meet other local wine enthusiasts and to taste wines you wouldn’t usually taste. For example, we’ve recently tasted wines from Georgia, Lebanon and Syria (all excellent !)
