Wine for the kids (when they turn 18)

It was easier to buy a unicorn than a 1974 Cali ! was there a 74 in the judgment of Paris ?

Likewise - couple of people touched on Barolo…hens teeth

That is probably true and even if you find one the bottle price will be astronomical. Barolo and Barbaresco you will find more and also significantly cheaper. I used to also own a bottle of DRC St Vivant from 1974… I think it had a Parker score of 70… I could not not (sic) sell it sadly, the silly prices those bottles command.

I’m not the greatest Barolo fan so didn’t look that hard…

you are right, there is a balance between £ and wanting to drink a wine

Do you have any other nice bottles to bring to the next BYO meal ?!?!

I got the 2000 Louis Jadot Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Baudes for my eldest and the 2002 Domaine Joseph Voillot Volnay 1er Cru Les Fremiets for my younger varmint. The lad should have had his already, however they’re not showing the remotest bit of interest in the stuff, so I’ll be buggered if I’m wasting good burgundy on them. Come to daddy …
