Whole Cluster Fermentation is one of many winemaking techniques one sees bandied around in wine notes.

I thought the following article gives a succinct and informative description of it, and why some winemakers utilise it.


That’s a good little article. I agree that the stems do add a lot more complexity but note that most producers destem nowadays. I think some producers liked Guigal in Rhône part destem some of the grapes going into a wine - so I suppose a balance.
