One of my best friends is getting married this weekend, and he has excellent taste in wine and has taken charge of stocking the bar at their reception. I’m not sure what their white wine choice is, and I know that they have bought some Cahors Malbec. However, I will be focusing on this beauty:

This was one of the undisputed stars of our trip to Piedmont a few weeks ago and is absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to taste it again!

This weekend happen to be in deepest Umbria. Wine heaven. No reason to drink wine from anywhere else. Ever. This is the weekend treat with barbecue lamb. Very difficult to obtain in U.K. For no good reason.

Something that I can consume in vast quantities…lovely phenolic ripeness, pure and silky smooth. Have a good weekend everyone!

This is stunning. Shame 2017 has been completely wiped out by hail.

and such a fab label

This on Friday night, after a late night text from other half “I need Wine!” Went down really well, lovely saline quality, will buy again unless it runs out before I order again.

Tonight we had the 2012 Saint Cosme Crozes Hermitage. Bought as a bin end, nice smart Crozes for the money. Good with home made Lasagne.

I’m in Jerez where it’s 30C. Can’t beat some ice cold La Ina and a plate of ham.

Also enjoying 2014 El Triángulo, a 100% tintilla from the Cadiz region.
