This tonight. Lovely Riesling nose, quite intense. Bone dry and so lovely and long with changing and developing flavours.
A bottle of Tramini (aka Savagnin) with some bottle age. Quite a remarkable wine with a mere 12% alcohol. Smooth, not unlike an aged dry Riesling with the slightest hint of oxidation (to its advantage). Also had some fresh white asparagus, did not dare to pair directly with the wine, but I have a feeling it would have worked well.
