Vintage Cellar Plan - laying down

I have been looking at starting a Vintage Cellar Plan and notice most of the subscriptions mention that a drinking window starting from between 2-3 years.

In reality do most of the wine assigned to the subscriptions need laying down for at least 2-3 years to drink them at their best?

Iā€™m trying to work out how long I might need to have such a subscription before starting to enjoy the wine :slight_smile:
