I’ve just placed my top up order and found this Portuguese red back in my basket without thinking twice. It has got to be a contender for best value red on the society list, it surprises me every time I open a bottle. #discovery
Agreed, it has a fair bit of complexity but still tastes fresh even at the slightly higher alcohol level which would be due to the altitude the grapes were grown at - think I need to stock up as well now!
Thanks for the tip - I need some good-value reds for our family holiday to Norfolk next month! And conveniently my family’s main red wine drinker is already a big fan of Portuguese wine! Would you say it’s a good foodie wine @danchaq and @M1tch? And if so what sorts of food would you serve with it?
