cigar box, smoky
Blackcurrant, yes, and a touch of vanilla but a bit of a subdued nose for a Cab Sauv.
My grandads empty tobacco pipe, cloves, smelly manure filled Irish fields, pencil shavings, …and MENTHOL… so much menthol…dark chocolate…… what a nose…
Yum, oaky dark fruits. Ripe, sweet … black forest gateau.
Cloves - yes - well done you
basically everyone enjoying this and looking forward to a taste!
A little surprised I’m still finding it developing in glass; I’ve had it dcanted for 4 hours and in the glass for 40 mins. But as your post appeared @Leah I was thinking tobacco pipe.
(That would be me…! I just love, looooove Lebanese wine and I think Chateau Ksara is often overlooked for bigger names like Musar and they make just STUNNING wines!)
Tobacco, chalk, menthol…
Poured a glass out about an hour ago but should’ve done it waaaay before. Still a bit muted. Getting whiffs of dark fruit and vanilla but not much else.
Have to agree with you there!
Bingo! Love this. Some kind of aniseed and smoky meatiness too.
After the pipe it’s moved on to cigar box!
Definitely a step up from the regular bottling
Go on, let’s taste!! Does it live up to the nose? What are your thoughts?
Twas the lady of the house!
I read that as church nonsense
The tasting notes say succulent and I’d agree with that
Mrs CC: hefty does of 80% or above dark chocolate for me, tasting-wise
