Thanks for the heads-up, tickets also booked. A friend’s birthday is close to the 16th, so it will make a nice surprise for her. Never been to one of these dinners before, what’s the form?

I’ve never been to one either. I would presume the wines are poured as each course is served with a few words from the winemaker. Whether a proposed seating plan is decided or just a free for all, I don’t know. If a few members from here are attending it would be nice to sit together, and would prevent us boring other members with discussions about different types of soil and their impact on the wine!

Very poor photo of the Thymiopoulos stand at the London Decanter Fine Wine Encounter yesterday. Apostoulos was there. 8 wines on tasting. Everything I think we’ve seen from TWS. Though I’m not sure about the entry level white.

There were only a very few bottles anyway; I didn’t check the exact number but it was fewer than 6.
I’ve got my 6-case of these stashed away in reserves anyway from when it first appeared 2-3 years ago. Time to get one out in fact, I should think - I had a 2011 back in March this year and it was excellent, I must say.
Not a wine to see much of in this country though, and more readily available in The USA than here it seems.
