It’s that time of year when we ask for names to be put into the Community hat for an invitation to The Society’s Spring Press Tasting. Fancy putting your name forward?
No formal tasting experience is needed, simply a willingness to come to London and enjoy sniffing, swirling and spitting (forwards or backwards!) around 80 wines in the company of some of the nation’s finest wine writers and tasters.
There are two places available. Previous attendees will vouch it is a great opportunity to taste a selection of our wines. Priority will be given to those who have not been before.
All you need to do is:
Check you’re free on Thursday 23 March
Be able to make your own way to 67 Pall Mall, London on that day
Be available for a goodly portion of the opening hours of the tasting (10am to 3:30pm)
Be willing to write up your thoughts about the wines tasted and share them with the Community.

I absolutely loved attending this a few years ago with @tom and was even surprised to see a photo from that day feature in a recent TWS email campaign. Would jump at the chance to go to another one, but not on the 23rd, as have a leaving do at work…that would not be pretty if I’d been at the TWS Press Tasting all day beforehand!
That makes you a prime contender. Just write up what you think…
I did it post (just_) lockdown… .70 bottles… fantastic experience, but it’s someone else’s opportunity to shine now. I so wish I could do it again, but I’ve had my time.
