Send us your questions for the 2018 AGM

The Wine Society is run for the benefit of its members, and the AGM is an opportunity for members to learn about what has been achieved on their behalf, and to raise any issues or questions they might have that would be of interest to the whole membership.

As a mutual, our members are our only shareholders, so we always like to hear your thoughts and to be able to explain what we’re up to. So why not dive in and ask away?

Members have the opportunity to attend the AGM in person, and should you be interested, the details can be found in the 2018 AGM Announcement.

However, you do not need to attend to ask questions. It is possible for any member of The Wine Society to send their questions so they may be raised and published where appropriate, either in the Minutes or directly with the member.

This year, The Society is encouraging members to post their questions in this community so that they can be addressed, and the discussions can be shared with the membership as a whole. As many as possible of these will be raised at the AGM, and we will ensure that all the questions posted here are answered by the most appropriate member of staff.

Instructions on how to post your questions can be found below.

To post your question you will need to have signed up to The Society’s Community. Once you are logged in, please post a question in this AGM category.

A member of staff will ensure these are delivered to the Committee for a response, and will post these answers to each question.

Any members that would like to follow up on any question, or add to the discussion, can simply add their replies to the topic.


INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTING A QUESTION

Once you have created your profile, click on the button to ‘Start a New Thread’

A box like this will appear in your browser.

  1. Include a summary of your question here which will act as the subject of your topic
  2. Make sure you select ‘AGM’ which is a sub-category of Membership
  3. Add as much detail as you like to the body of your message, as you would with an email or a conversation in the community. DO NOT include your share number or address, we can find these from your profile.
  4. Post ‘Create Topic’

We will do our best to answer your question during the AGM and to publish this as soon afterwards as we can.

Questions and discussions will continue in this section of the community after the AGM until we are able to publish the draft Minutes of this AGM. Any other questions you may have can always be posted to other sections of the community, or raised via Member Services.
