I’ve got my first Charles III coin.
I expect most on this board have only known Queen Elizabeth II on the coins, but I remember before decimalisation in Feb 1971 the shilling and pence coins kept previous monarch’s coins in circulation till they wore out.
Is it the new £1000 coin?
After the next coronation younger folk will be asking:
“What’s a coin?”
Of course, they could soon be asking ‘what’s a monarchy’ too
He’s now minted in more ways than one…
