Has no-one mentioned this yet? Surely in the top 5 under £10:
I was possibly a little tipsy at the time and clicked reply on the wrong post, but yes, also very much here for the Garnacha based roses!
Ok so 11 bottles this was my selection based on recommendations. If you volunteered a wine and I didn’t buy it it’s because they didn’t have it😩
Rainer wess veltliner
Weinert carrascal corte tinto
Martin borough vineyards
Adegamae Lisboa white
Society Greek white
Greco basilic ata le ralle
Xinomavro jeunes vignes
Something for the weekend sir:blush:
Some great value picks there, hope you enjoy them.
I’ll be using the suggestions above to fill a few gaps in my own tastings.
I just wanted to get off the beaten track and go outside my comfort zone, I ve been following Tim Atkin on twitter and some of his recommendations whilst so called standard grape varieties have been superb of late. Especially the south Island NZ pinot noir called HAKA retailing in M and S a truly beautiful wine. And for everyday malbec his Buena’s vides Argentina retailing in Aldi. Very nice
Yes - that is the perfect review of that wine, and if you don’t want to drink it after that, I don’t know what’s wrong with you.
Great choices. We opened the Society Greek white for the first time this eve and it’s a cracker for the money.
