Got this somewhat randomly to take a previous order above £75… It is my second bottle where Bourboulenc plays a starring role and if possible this one is even better than the previous one, which I liked very much. It might be bone dry, but there is a wonderful, slightly honeyed sweetness on the back palate as the wine opens up in the glass. It is full of flavour and at times it reminded me of wonderful unoaked Bourgogne Blanc from the Cote d’Or.
Also La Clape sounds like an interesting place to visit…
