There’s a warming (or is it chilling?) true story about Paul Sauer founder of Kanonkop Estate whose descendants still run the winery. TWS has long stocked Kanonkop wines, including the wine named after Paul Sauer - tho’ it’s not currently listed.

BTW Tassenberg wine that the minister was drinking isn’t one of Kanonkop’s, it’s still being made and is about the cheapest wine you can buy there.

Thank you Peter. A salutary tale. Have just got my hands on a couple of bottles of the 2015…‘the first South African 100 point wine.’ Time will tell.
