I was at the Horse and Groom at Hare Hatch and they have a lovely red - Passori - which is an anagram of Ripasso. It is not Valpollicella Ripasso but if you like the one you are likely to love the other. Made from grapes dried on the vine, it is a really sumptuous wine from the Veneto.

Yep. That’s the one. Apparently the grapes are dried by cutting the vine branches so the leaves help suck moisture out of the grapes. Merlot and Corvino mix.
