Continuing the discussion from The Society's Community "How To" Guides:
At the end of each comment in a topic thread there is a symbol. Click this link to ‘like’ (or love) a contribution.
The user who posted the comment will receive a notification of this response, and the post will show the total number of likes and who left them.
Likes can be used in many ways, but the most important is to provide useful feedback to the specific user, and the community as a whole, that you have read the comment and value its contribution to the conversation.
Each member’s total of likes, both given and received, are listed on their profile, indicating how active they have been and giving other members an idea of the topics they are most interested in.
