Continuing the discussion from The Society's Community "How To" Guides:
By default, the homepage will show all conversations in the community so all users can see the latest activity. However, if you are interested in something specific then you can filter this list in a number of ways:
- By category: in the menu line, click the ‘all categories’ title and a list of all the categories appears. Select the one of most interest to you.
- By tag: in the menu line, click the ‘all tags’ title and a list of all the tags are used will appear. Select a one of most interest to you.
- By level of activity: if you click on the ‘Top’ title in the menu line, the conversation threads will be listed in order of most activity (views and replies) for a specific time period. You can choose whether this is for ‘all time’, or select a specific period such as quarter, month, week or just today.
To show what’s ‘New’ to you: the site will track what new threads have been started since you last visited and mark this as ‘new’ for you. Normally this is set to show only threads started in the last 2 days, to keep the list fresh and relevant. You can change this setting in your preferences. To see only this content, select the ‘new’ title in the menu line.
To show which of your topics are ‘Unread’: the site will keep track of new replies in threads that you started, commented on, or that you are tracking [link]. You will receive separate notifications for these but to see the full list this content, select the ‘Unread’ title in the menu line.
