They’re a good operation. The wine is a bit patchy though.
Are they the first ??? Rathfinny provide onsite accommodation as do Holmfirth vineyards . I’m sure there are many more too.
Every so often I drive past the Bear of Rodborough and it looks like they have a small vineyard which I have seen for several years.
Rather a hotel with a vineyard than a vineyard with accommodation.

Weird. She does note the claim is Denbies’, and they state that on their website. Must be some creative definition of ‘Vineyard hotel’ on their part.
Is it possibly a legal distinction between hotels and guest houses and b&b. I seem to recall the distinction in each case is down to number of rooms available? Just a thought?

My office was in Leatherhead and a colleague always stayed there - even with my love of wine I stayed at the Mercure, Box hill …make fo that what you will
it was very much b&B as no evening meal capability when I last knew (2 years ago)
