Claret Vintage Plan

#1

Dear All,

As i am new to wine i thought that i would start doing the Claret Vintage cellar plan offered. But i wondered if anyone else has done? and what they were allocated etc? and whether you can reject what you are allocated if you arent happy?

Thank you

I’ve signed up but have yet to receive my first allocation. I think it should be due in the next couple of months. I’ll report back once I know what treats are in store.

Thank you Very much, if you dont mind me asking are you doing Plan A or Plan B?

#4

I’ve gone for plan B.

I’d suggest you go for a mixed Bordeaux case that is ready to drink from a spread of communes so that you can begin to learn your preferences before doing so either before or alongside the Vintage Plan. Laying down Claret is a great idea but I know from experience that it can leave you with an execess of Bordeaux, which as your tastes expand may mean you have a cellar with a high concentration from one region, rather than a variey of wines to enjoy.

You can never have too much Bordeaux

Very true, there is no such thing as too much wine, just too little time to drink it.
