Just a question. If a member has wines in his or her reserves and wants to sell a case to another member is that allowed on the community web page. The reason I ask is that I own a case of something that I will not drink and would like it to go to a good home. As I said this is just a question.

Perhaps contacting Member Services would be an appropriate way to handle this. I’m not sure that another member of the Community could reasonably give a very definitive answer.

I think it has been done before but on an informal basis. People have posted they want to sell something and then gone to private messaging to sort details.

I know it can be done as I have bought wine stored in TWS reserves on auction and they have just been transferred to me.

I think it might be similar to what some of us have done when sharing an EP case where someone might only want 3 or 6 of a case of 6 or 12. I’ve done it three or four times all have worked fine.

What happens there is that the members have agreed to do it, often by PM on here, they settle up with each other privately, and the selling member then instructs TWS to transfer the wine to the buying member’s Reserves. This usually takes a week or two to go through the system. The buyer can then either leave it there or withdraw it.

Don’t see why the same principle wouldn’t apply here. TWS won’t act as broker though or get involved in anything other than transferring the wine itself on the seller’s instruction.

Before I give wineowners a go. Would anyone be interested in the following, in either quantities of 3 or 6. Price will be what ever the EP/FR price was at the time. (Although buy all of it and a discount could be arranged!) Based in Romsey, Hampshire. However, all of this wine is currently with TWS in bond.

I am currently using the thread on wine-pages to sell some of my TWS Rhône ep stock. Hope I am not breaking any rules, but I have found Vinexchange a free/easy way to move stuff.
