Thanks for sharing Leah, some lovely wines there especially if you like Sauternes.

Only saw Pichon-Baron there… did you buy the Comtesse already?!

No, Pichon Longueville baron Pauillac . It’s Mr. Leah’s birthday soon so i added a bottle in for him that he MUST share with me when the time comes to open it up.

That message ‘low stock’ ‘bordeaux’ ‘raided our cellar’ it’s like cat-nip in this forum!
Created brilliant sense of scarcity.

Of course … I got their names mixed up.

What a lovey present for the future!

Yes and no. I already have some bottles that are there - I would argue some aren’t that ‘scarce’. And I’m not entirely convinced either that they represent outstanding value. Perhaps TWS are trying to stake a claim on L&W turf?

Can’t seem to find a link. Anyone able to share?

Ha. My comment was that it seemed like a brilliant bit of (overt) marketing. But @Tannatastic you are immune to such wicked spells. I’m also immune due to depleted bank balance :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Majority of the stock is glorious Sauternes, some top reds too that are in their drinking window or just started drinking. Personally that would be the main appeal for me buying a single bottle and deciding if it’s worthy of a case order

Thank you

Pichon Longueville baron Pauillac. £118 a bottle and still available!

And at the other end of the scale @ £17 Château Juguet, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2012 . I opened a bottle last night and its VERY good indeed, I would say at a perfect age.Sometime today I shall get a half dozen on order. Regretfully the £100+ bottles are way beyond my price threshold!

Update: Thanks for the heads up Leah, I would hate to have missed out on the Juguet if it sold out. As it is I now own the last bottle of Ch.Citran.

Yum, Chevalier Blanc is still available. Not cheap at c £70-£85 per bottle, but white Bordeaux ages beautifully and Chevalier Blanc is one of the best. A real treat for a special occasion or it can still be put away for a few years yet and it will get even better.

Seems to happen more and more often these days!

They have the 2009 Larcis Ducasse as well, also at £66 per bottle, and it shouldn’t be too far from ready! Picked up a couple of bottles…

I’ve not been well and so have missed out on all the ones I’d have been interested in that were in my price range. I would have liked to pick up a couple of the 2010 Beau-Site but never mind better for my bank balance!

Just read the blurb around this offer…’what ever your budget etc, etc , .TWS needs to get a grip on reality There was nothing I could see that fits in with that sort of rhetoric .

Fair comment Luccasman, however when the ‘offer’ went live there were some lower priced wines in the list - I bought some St Emillion at £17, and there were others for even less. The offer has now omitted the bottles which have sold out, so what’s left are generally the more expensive ones & the blurb is out of date although was true originally. Just as well it wasn’t a Burgundy low stock offer!
